MIDDLEFIELD--The boater who was killed in an accident Tuesday night has been identified.
Gregory Davoren, 52, of Middletown, died in the accident. Witnesses said Davoren jumped in the water, but never resurfaced. The other two people he was with called to report he was missing.
DEEP said the other occupants of the boat were Santo Bazzano, 47 of Hartford and Thomas Parente, 53, of Middletown.
Dive teams and State Police also responded to the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
