ATLANTA – GM is recalling nearly 800,000 crossover vehicles over a defect in the power lift gate.
They include the following vehicles with the power lift gate option installed: the 2007-2010 Saturn Outlook, the 2007-2012 GMC Acadia, the 2009-2012 Chevrolet Traverse and the 2008-2012 Buick Enclave.
GM said the lift gate may prematurely wear, causing it to fall too quickly.
The company said software is to blame.
GM said there are no known crashes or deaths related to the issue, but at least 56 people have been injured.
