NEW HAVEN – Two men reported to New Haven police early Saturday morning that they had both somehow been stabbed when leaving the Fireside Restaurant on Woodward Avenue.

The first victim told police he left the restaurant around 1:30 a.m. and got into his car. As he was driving home, he said he realized he was bleeding. At home he saw lacerations to his torso and back. He said he drove himself to the hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening.

A second man told police he was walking through the club when he felt someone push him. He said when he made it to his car, he realized he’d been cut on his back. He said he drove himself to the hospital for treatment. His injuries were also not life-threatening.

No suspect has been described, according to police.
