Connecticut Day at Fenway Sunday featured local singer

BOSTON - Connecticut took over Fenway Park Sunday for the annual Connecticut Day.

The Sox spotlight all of the New England states every season.

Ceremonies included Connecticut mascots taking the stadium, the Connecticut State Police Honor Guard being recognized and neighbors singing our national anthem.

Before the game, Rich Coppola spoke with national anthem singer Michael Grillo about his big performance.

As for the game itself, the Yankees came out on top 8-6. They play again Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 7:05 p.m.
