NEW BRITAIN — The New Britain Rock Cats, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, announced that Monday’s game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate) was cancelled due to unplayable field conditions.
Officials say a break in the field irrigation system soaked the field. The game will not be made up.
The Rock Cats will be off for the All-Star break and return to New Britain Stadium on Monday, July 20 against the Binghamton Mets.
Fans holding tickets for Monday’s game may exchange them for tickets for any remaining home game during the 2015 season. Tickets are available by calling 860-224-8383 or visiting www.rockcats.com.
