Waterbury 1-month-old suffers 20 broken ribs, parents arrested

WATERBURY – A Waterbury couple has been arrested for assaulting their 1-month old son.

The baby suffered injuries to his mouth and eye, had a swollen right leg and also had 20 broken ribs.

Parents brought their son to St. Mary’s Hospital on July 2 and the baby was transferred to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Nikolas Radaskie, 21 and Kali Sastrum, 18, of Waterbury were both arrested and have both been charged with risk of injury to a minor.
