SOUTH WINDSOR – Circus Smirkus, Vermont’s award-winning international youth circus, is back on the road with the Big Top Tour, celebrating a 28-year tradition of bringing joy and magic to towns all over the Northeast.
The traveling youth circus performs almost 70 shows this summer, from the mountains of Vermont to the shores of Maine, with stops along the way in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and upstate New York.
Thirty stars, ages 11-18, bring youthful exuberance and polished skills from all parts of the country and the world.
The show is full of dazzling spectacle, with aerials, acrobatics, wire-walking, juggling, trapeze, clowning, live music and an array of brilliant costumes.
This year, The Silk City Chorus is presenting four exciting performances in South Windsor at the high school practice field on July 18 and 19, with showtimes on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6 p.m.
The Circus Smirkus performances in South Windsor are an important fundraising event for The Silk City Chorus, which will allow the chorus to continue and build its support of youth music programs.
Tickets are $17 for children 2-13 and $21 for adults and are available in advance at 1-877-SMIRKUS or here. Tickets will also be available at the door starting one hour before show time. For more information, call 1-877-SMIRKUS toll-free or click here.
