HARTFORD - Scott Burrell was a high school sports legend at Hamden High and he played hoops at UConn and in the NBA. But he was also quite a baseball player in high school.

Also, Burrell was involved in what may be the most famous play in UConn sports history, passing the ball to Tate George in 1990 to help UConn win a last second semi-final game in the NCAA tournament.

This week, he was named the new head basketball coach at Southern Conn. State University.

Southern CT’s new Big Man on Campus is in-studio to talk about the next chapter of his remarkable athetic career.
