New Haven teen shot in leg Monday afternoon

NEW HAVEN – Police investigated a  shooting that wounded a teenage boy Monday afternoon.

Police said the 16-year-old suffered a minor wound and was being treated at Yale New Haven Hospital. Police were investigating in the area of County Street and Goffe Street.

The teen, who lives on County Street, had a minor wound to his leg. His injury is not life-threatening, according to police.

The victim said a newer model white pickup truck with dark tinted windows may be involved. No witnesses have come forward.

The teen told police he walked several blocks to where he was found by the officers.
