LAKEWOOD, N.J. — A non-profit group offered adults $100 if they could sit in hot car for ten minutes. None of them made it.

The group ‘Kars 4 Kids’ set up the challenge on a day when temperatures climbed past 90 degrees in Lakewood, New Jersey.

At first they try to pass the time, distract themselves from the boredom, but then the heat becomes oppressive.

“I felt like a pot of pasta,” said one.
