Police investigate New Haven shooting

NEW HAVEN – Police are looking for a suspect after a  man was shot in the torso Tuesday afternoon.

Police said around 2:30 p.m., they were called a report of a shooting victim at 32 Arthur St. Officers found Eddie Langs, 27, of New Haven, who had been shot in the torso. He was taken to Yale – New Haven Hospital for surgery. According to police, Langs was in critical condition but was conscious and alert.

The incident happened on Lamberton Street, just south of Arthur Street.

Police said there were conflicting descriptions of the suspect involved. One is of a black man wearing a grey tank-top shirt and grey shorts. The other describes the shorts as black and red.
