Target recalls night lights due to fire hazard

The battery in the Circo Night Lights can overheat and “cause the night light to melt,” according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

On two occasions, Target has been notified that the China-made lights got too hot. In one case, the night light caught fire and damaged a dresser, wall and plug-in.

Customers should stop using them immediately and return them to any Target for a full refund. The product comes in six different versions: a pink hedgehog, a blue bird, a yellow rocket, an orange dino egg, a white soccer ball and a green shark

Target sold the night lights exclusively at stores nationwide and Target.com from October 2014 through May. They retailed for about $15.
