BRIDGEPORT — A grand jury has indicted five people on federal drug charges in connection with the killing of a man whose body was found after a July 4 explosion in Hamden.
Prosecutors announced Friday that a federal grand jury in Bridgeport returned indictments in an investigation related to the death of 39-year-old Edward Brooks of West Haven.
The five people already face state charges including murder.
Police allege Christopher Miller killed Brooks in West Haven, then tried to blow up the body at West Rock State Park. Authorities say they found crack cocaine, methamphetamine and pipe bomb materials in the home.
Miller also was indicted on a charge of possession of an explosive. He’s detained and it’s not clear if he has a lawyer who could comment on the allegations.
