A hazy, hot and humid week ahead

HARTFORD--The next few days are going to be hazy, hot and humid, and just unstable enough for a few isolated showers and storms. Not everyone is going to get wet, but if you do, you may get a lot of rain in a short amount of time.

Even if you miss the rain, you won't get a pass on the heat and humidity, with highs Tuesday getting to near 90, before you factor in the humidity. The heat index gets over 100 the next few days, and we have an air quality alert for the shoreline for Tuesday, so make sure to check the back seat when you park for kids and pets.
