WORCESTER, Mass.--Time flies when you're singing nonstop!

On Tuesday, Fox CT's own "American Idol" correspondent Lauren Victory caught up with America's newest "Idol" on tour in central Massachusetts.

Nick Fradiani is currently traveling the country with the top 5 "American Idol" season 14 finishers for the "American Idol" tour, and he's finally circling his old stomping grounds. In fact, Nick was in his home state Monday night, performing at Mohegan Sun! "I was just in Connecticut yesterday," Nick said, "which was great. That was, like, the best one so far."

It was a full circle, since the star actually got the opportunity to play for the huge arena just about two years ago:

Now, it's been 2.5 months since Nick rose to stardom, and he's been on the move ever since. He's in his 10th state in just three weeks, and he's working triple duty: singing on the tour, doing radio promotions in every city for his hit single, "Beautiful Life," and writing songs for his debut album with songwriters across the country.

In fact, he just had another duty added to his list last week: video promos. The music video for his debut single, "Beautiful Life," was released on Friday, and it was a shock to the singer. "It went over really well," Nick said of the video. However, "I actually didn't even know, I was getting texts like, 'oh, your video is out;' I didn't even know. They didn't tell me, so it was, like, a mad rush to promote it that day. A lot of people supported it, and it's doing pretty good. I like how it came out, I was happy with it."

When asked what the video is about, he said it's about a guy doing something different. "I guess it's kind of like what I was doing in my life at the time. But I'll always be able to come back to Connecticut," he added.
