MIDDLETOWN — State and local police continued their search for a Middletown woman who has been missing since last month.

Nina Coe was last seen on July 15th.

Police said she has bipolar disorder and an alcohol and pain medication dependency.

Police said they were searching the area around the two reservoirs near Connecticut Valley Hospital because it’s close to Coe’s home.

They used helicopters and canines to search the woods.

“There are 13 canine units here. There are teams here. It’s a large heavily wooded area to cover. And It just makes the search more thorough. It helps us be more efficient to get through this large area, quickly,” said Lt. Heather Desmond of the Middletown Police.

Wednesday night, the Middletown community gathered on the South Green to pray for her safe return.
