MANCHESTER -- He's walking from coast to coast to raise awareness about PTSD. Army Veteran Neil Davis started his journey 10 days ago on Cape Cod and took off Monday morning from Manchester.

Fox CT was there as he started his trek. He says he plans on ending in Thomaston Monday evening with the goal of reaching Huntington Beach, California in November.

He's walking 12 hours, 30 miles a day.

Davis is from the UK and has worked alongside US Soldiers in the past. While he thought about doing the walk in his native land, he says he doesn't think it would have garnered as much attention to the cause as one done here in the states.

Davis is raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project and a UK Veterans charity called Combat Stress.

You can read more about his journey and find out how to donate on his "Not Broken, Just Damaged" Facebook page.
