Back to school: Using coupons and apps to maximize savings

HARTFORD - Judy Pezza, couponing expert and star Of TLC’s ‘Extreme Couponing,’ stopped by the Fox CT Morning Extra to talk about using coupons to save money.


Staples has 110% lowest price guarantee for school, which is valid until September 19. They will match any competitor’s price and will discount it by 10% of the difference. It's applicable in store and online. If you purchased something from Staples in the previous 14 days and you find a lower price elsewhere just let Staples know and they'll refund the difference to you. It has to be the identical item (meaning same size, same brand, etc.)

When you purchase a Staples gift card for $50 before August 29, they will give you a free $10 e-promo card. There is a limit of four per person so you can purchase $200 in Staples gift cards and you'll get $40 free in e-promo cards. The e-promo cards have to be redeemed by September 12, 2015.This is a great idea if you're thinking of buying a higher ticket item. This is only available online.

Staples also has a great coupon offer this week. When you use this coupon you can get 15% off of your entire in-store purchase of regular priced items.

It's simple to use.
