BRIDGEPORT – On Wednesday morning, the Bridgeport Police Department arrested a Waterbury man while saving a 17-year-old Bridgeport girl from suspected sex trafficking.

At around 2:30 a.m., police officers responded to a reported incident at the Sunnyside Inn at 74 Lake Street in Bridgeport.

After arriving on the scene, a 17-year-old Bridgeport girl alleged that Brandon Williams, 34, of Cliff Street in Waterbury, was holding the juvenile against her will, forcing her to engage in sex trafficking.

Williams was arrested and is currently being held on a $50,000 bail for violation of probation pending further charges.

The 17-year-old girl was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she is in stable condition. She is currently recovering in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.
