HARTFORD – Firefighters battled an apartment fire at 332 West Preston Street Saturday morning.

The call came in at around 9:45 a.m. reporting smoke coming from the third floor of the building .

The fire was extinguished in just over an hour.

There were no reports of injuries to residents nor firefighters.

The Hartford Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire at the three-family residence.

“Right now we have special services on the way to assist anyone that might need to be relocated. It looks like anybody living in that 3rd floor might need another place to stay until repairs are made,” said Hartford Fire Department Deputy Chief Mike Juda.
