NORTH STONINGTON – State police say that Christopher Devin Hilbert, 19, of Stonington, and a 17-year-old juvenile male robbed the American Auto Truck on Clark Falls Road in North Stonington on Wednesday, July 15.
The two suspects were wearing dark-colored clothing and hooded sweatshirts and entered the rear door of the truck stop, according to police.
One suspect was armed with a gun and the other suspect was armed with a knife. They held up the store clerks and left with over $300.
On Thursday, August 27, police found the 17-year-old suspect and took him into custody. The next day, police found and arrested Hilbert.
The juvenile suspect was charged with second-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny and was being held on $350,000 pending an appearance in New London Superior Court.
Hilbert was charged with first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny. He was being held on $550,000 pending his appearance in New London Superior Court.
