HARTFORD – One suspect is still at large after a chaotic shooting incident in May but Hartford police have charged a fourth suspect they think may have also been involved.

On May 12 at around 12:45 a.m., police heard numerous gunshots coming from the rear of the Ranch House restaurant at 3281 Main Street.

When officers arrived, they found a chaotic scene where 29 shell casings from three different caliber firearms were recovered, as well as other projectiles.

Four vehicles, a house and the rear of the restaurant sustained projectile damage and one victim suffered a non-life threatening wound to the head.

Three suspects were immediately identified: Kenneth Jewell, 24, and Carlton Forbes, 22, both of Hartford, and Shawn Robinson, 24, of East Hartford. Jewell and Robinson were both arrested in June.

On June 5,  Jewell was taken into custody and charged with assault, conspiracy to commit assault, carrying a pistol without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

On June 20, Robinson was arrested in the Bedford Street Mall area and was charged with assault, conspiracy to commit assault, carrying a pistol without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

Both were held on $750,000 bail each.

Forbes is still on the loose, is aware that he has a warrant on him and has continued to escape attempts to capture him. He is considered armed and dangerous. He is charged with assault, conspiracy to commit assault, carrying a pistol without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

During the course of the investigation, a fourth shooter was identified as Glen Asberry, 24, of Hartford, who was also struck by gunfire during the incident in May. On Thursday, Asberry was arrested without incident and is being held on $75,000 bail.

The Hartford Police ask anyone who knows any information about the location of Carlton Forbes to contact the Hartford Police Department, Lt. Brandon O’Brien at (860) 757-4089. Anonymous tips can be left here.
