BROOKFIELD – Two adults were arrested after police found their two children riding in the back area of a Corvette.
Frederick and Sheri Horton of Brookfield were arrested on September 8, after police found their two children riding around in the back area of a 1982 Chevrolet Corvette. The children are ages 7 and 8. The rear area of that model year Corvette has a large window over a storage floor, and is not designed to carry passengers.
Police also found that the car was unregistered and uninsured.
Frederick Horton, 43, was charged with operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, risk of injury and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Sheri Horton, 42, was charged with reckless endangerment.
Both are scheduled to appear in court on September 18.
