Route 15 reopens in Meriden after serious crash that sent baby, several others to hospital

Meriden crashMERIDEN – A multi-vehicle crash closed Route 15 northbound in Meriden.

The Friday afternoon crash closed the road between exits 68N and 68W due to the accident that occurred around 1:45 p.m.

The accident also closed the I-91 northbound exit 17 ramp.

Several people were hospitalized as a result of the crash, including a baby, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. The baby was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, but was then LifeStarred to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center

Both roads have reopened.

No word on if anyone was injured in the crash.
