EAST HARTFORD - Reducing the risk of prescription drug abuse by cleaning out your medicine cabinet was the focus of a drug take-back event Saturday in East Hartford.
The event collected unused prescription medications, which will be safely disposed of.
East Hartford Mayor Marcia LeClerc said these take-backs reduce the risk of prescription drug abuse and sickness, and help the environment by reducing groundwater contamination.
