NORTH HAVEN — Two people have been arrested after police say they flagged down a man, requested help with car trouble, then assaulted him and drove off in his car earlier this month.

On September 8, around 6 p.m., the victim helped the couple, they got into an argument, and the male suspect pulled out a gun. The suspect hit the victim over the head with the gun, and then he and the female suspect took the victim’s car and drove away.

The victim walked to the North Haven Fire Department, where they provided medical assistance.

Detectives identified the pair as Seldale Moon, 23, of Hartford and Rhakira McLendon, 24, of Manchester. Investigators obtained arrest warrants for the two and tracked them down in a hotel where they were arrested.

Moon was charged with Robbery First Degree, Larceny Second Degree, and Assault with a Firearm.  He was held on a court set $150,000 bond.

McLendon was charged with Larceny Second Degree, Conspiracy, and Interfering With a Police Officer.  She was held on a $50,000 court set bond.
