Prosecutors say Thomas Infante and Lisa Infante were married 27 years. The county clerk tells FoxCT Lisa picked up divorce papers but they were never served to Thomas.

Sunday night, around 9:30 p.m. police were called to their home on Hickory Lane. They found Lisa, 52, dead. Two of their four children were home at the time.

Prosecutors say he "callously" shot her, and drove to the Ohio/Pennsylvania border before turning around and turning himself in to police Monday. After questioning him Monday afternoon, police then arrested him and charged him with murder.

Prosecutor says Infante confessed to the crime. His arrest warrant was sealed by the judge.

Friends of Lisa created a GoFundMe page in her memory. Also, many of her friends changed their Facebook profile pictures to a purple tear, a symbol of domestic violence.

Infante has two prior convictions for DUI from 1998, but does not have a violent history.

He was ordered held on $1.5 million bond. The judge also issued a protective order for two of their four children. That means he is ordered to stay away from them.
