NEW HAVEN — An underground oil pipeline ruptured Thursday at the New Haven Terminal.
Police said emergency crews, including the New Haven Fire Department and New Haven Police Department had been on the scene at the New Haven Terminal, 100 Waterfront St. since early morning. Officials said they believe a 2-inch underground pipe carrying low-grade fuel oil ruptured.
No roads in the area are closed, since the spill is in a remote area of the property.
Officials from the Water Pollution Control Authority, Department of Environmental Protection and the US Coast Guard are at the scene.
