The suspect had a plastic bag over his head and used force against the clerk according to police. The suspect stole an undetermined amount of money from the register. They said the suspect was wearing a black hoodie, pants and gloves.

Police believe that this was the same suspect in an overnight robbery that occurred last week at the Shell Mart on High Street in East Hartford.

Police in Coventry are investigating a robbery of another 7-Eleven at 2711 Boston Turnpike. The robbery was reported around 5 a.m. Police said the suspect ran off to the west on Boston Turnpike. Canine units searched the scene but did not locate the suspect. Police said the suspect was dressed in all black with a yellow plastic bag over his head that had eye holes cut out of it. He implied he had a weapon but never showed it.

Police are not saying if the Thursday morning robberies are connected. Both stores are located on Route 44, but in separate towns.
