HARTFORD - You can describe the political landscape in Bridgeport as a “hot mess.” Incumbent mayor Bill Finch lost the Democratic primary to former mayor Joseph Ganim. Ganim served seven years in federal prison for corruption during his time in office twelve years ago.
Now, Ganim is seeking forgiveness and redemption. Meanwhile, a third-party candidate, Mary Jane Foster, is trying to leverage her recent endorsement from Finch to stop Ganim’s momentum.
There is also a longshot Republican candidate, Enrique Torres.
Few knew the Bridgeport political scene like Dixon like Stan's guest Ken Dixon, state capitol reporter and columnist for Hearst CT Media. Stan and his guest continue their conversation.
