Police identify body found in Connecticut River in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN–Police are investigating after a body was found in the Connecticut River.

A white adult male body was found near 2 River Rd., in the area of Harbor Park Tuesday evening. Wednesday, police identified the man as 62-year-old Edward Mann of Middletown.

Officers from the Middletown Police Major Investigations Division have not noticed any signs of foul play on the body, but the body has been sent to the medical examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.

Police are still investigating the incident and are requesting that anyone who may have been in contact Mann or knew of his whereabouts in the days prior, contact the Middletown Police Department 860-638-4000.

“The Middletown Police Department would like send our condolences to Edward Mann’s family and friends,” the department said in a statement.
