HARTFORD–Around 7:45 p.m. Hartford Police Deputy Chief Brian Foley tweeted that two amber alerts would soon be issued for a 7-year-old and a 7-month-old who were taken from the custody of the Department of Children and Families Tuesday night by their mother.
The kids were taken from a DCF facility on 250 Hamilton St., he said.
Initially, Foley said the department was issuing amber alerts for the children, but soon after tweeted that detectives may instead issue silver alerts.
At 9:30 p.m. Foley tweeted that the two kids were found safe, and that the investigation was ongoing.
