Three cars burned at apartment building near UConn

STORRS — Three cars were damaged by fire early Sunday morning at the Carriage House Apartments near the University of Connecticut.

The Connecticut State Police said the fire was reported around 5:20 a.m at 5 Carriage House Rd.

Firefighters found three vehicles on fire and were able to put the fire out quickly. There were no reported injuries. The vehicles, a Jeep Wrangler, a Honda Civic and a Chevrolet Tracker were in the parking lot.

Detectives from the Connecticut State Police are investigating.

Troopers said residents should be on the lookout for any suspicious activity. Anyone with information  asked to call State Police Detectives at 860-896-3200.
