BRANFORD–Police are investigating after a trespasser on the railroad tracks in Branford, near Pine Orchard Road, was hit by an oncoming train and killed.
All trains through that section of railroad were stopped Wednesday night while the investigation was ongoing.
Amtrak police responded to the scene, and the company gave passengers on Twitter with updates about new estimated times of arrival at different stations.
