HARTFORD – On Thursday, Hartford Police conducted an undercover narcotics operation in the north district of the city, targeting Judson, Barbour, Baltimore, Enfield, Main and Westland streets and Albany Avenue.
This operation was conducted in response to recent shootings and numerous citizen complaints regarding street level drug sales in that area, police said.
Undercover detectives conducted surveillance in these areas and were able to identify prospective drug buyers and sellers, according to police.
Polie said 15 people were arrested and charged with various drug and motor vehicle charges and 74 bags of marijuana, six bags of crack, 12 bags of heroin and $2,367 in cash was seized.
Arrested were:
Dariusz Karas, 22, of Woodbridge Lane in Cromwell for possession of narcotics.
Brock Davis, 41, of Sheridan Road in Enfield for third-degree criminal trespass and interfering with police.
Craig Morrison, 39, of Garden Street in Hartford for possession of a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance, sale within 1,500 feet of a school, and thrid-degree criminal trespass.
Marcus Knight, 24, of Edgewood Street in Hartford for possession of a controlled substance on an outstanding warrant.
Miguel Romero, 44, of Wooster Street in Hartford for failure to display plate, operating without license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operation without insurance, possession of narcotics, and possession within 1,500 feet of a school.
Ahmad Compton, 26, of Main Street in Hartford, for possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics, possesion with intent to sell narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school.
Darryl Hill, 46, of Burnside Avenue in East Hartford, for possession of narcotics, possession of a controled substance, and possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school.
Marcus Jiles, 38, of Elmer Street in Hartford for two counts of possession of narcotics and two counts of sale of narcotics.
Tamira Mickens, 29, of Norfolk Street in Hartford for possession of a controlled substance, possesion with intent to sell a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school, possesion with intent to sell a controlled substance wihtin 1,500 feet of a school.
William Livermore, 32 of Taylor Road in Enfield on two outstanding warrants.
Anthony Mckenzie, 54 of Foster Street in Manchester for possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school.
Eugene Harmon, 48, Enfield Street in Hartford for theft of a number plate and possession of a controlled substance.
James Steinbach, 19, of North Main Street in Bristol for possession of a controlled substance.
Jayquan Brown, 21, of Barbour Street in Hartford for possession of a controlled substance.
Susan Wilson, 37, of Garden Street in Hartford for possession of a controlled substance.
