Police looking for suspect in armed 7-Eleven robbery

SOUTHINGTON  —  Police are searching for an armed suspect who threatened and robbed a store clerk early Saturday morning.

Investigators say that the individual entered a 7-Eleven store at  2:40am and demanded cash. He reportedly told the attendant, “If you call police, I’ll blow your head off,” before stealing about $90 from the register.

The suspect escaped from the area and was last seen speeding down Queen Street in a gray four-door sedan. He is described as a white male in his 40s and approximately 230 pounds. He was wearing a gray University of Massachusetts tee shirt, as well as black shorts, white sneakers and a yellow wristband.
