BRIDGEPORT — Police are investigating a homicide that happened late Sunday evening.

Sunday night around 11:05 p.m., police were called to an assault with a gun at Goldenrod Avenue near the corner of Madison Avenue.

When they arrived, they found a Jayson Rosado, 28, with multiple stab wounds to the chest, side and stomach. Rosado was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police say that witnesses reported seeing four masked men, some of whom were holding firearms, enter Rosado’s home. The suspects ransacked his home, and detectives are trying to determine what was taken.

Detectives don’t think this was a random act, and thing the victim was targeted.

This is the 14th homicide in Bridgeport this year.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Detective Robert Winkler at (203) 581-5224.
