HARTFORD -- Helping women negotiate all the options after surgery is challenging. National Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day or simply, BRA Day is designed to educate the public about reconstruction options after a mastectomy, particularly the role donated tissue plays in the process. Life Choice Donor Services, the state’s organ and tissue procurement organization, wants to encourage women to learn about this treatment option.

Donated tissue offers a less painful, more natural option with better cosmetic results.
