BEACON FALLS — State Police are investigating a suspicious death on Burton Road.
Troopers were sent to 317 Burton Road for a reported drowning victim around 4:30 p.m. Friday. When troopers arrived, the found John Kautzner, 47, of Beacon Falls, dead in a brook behind his house.
State Police are considering this death suspicious, but there are currently no signs of criminal activity. Police stress that there is no threat to the community or public.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
