FARMINGTON – Thanks to numerous tips following news broadcasts and postings, Farmington police have been able to identify an elderly woman who was found Wednesday morning.
Police were called to an area near Route 6 and Camp Street near the Bristol/Plainville town lines where someone spotted the wandering, disoriented elderly woman, who is from Bristol.
She was walking east bound in the area of Scott Swamp Road (RT.6) and Farmington Chase. Officers from Bristol and Farmington are working to reunite her with family members.
Police thank the public for their assistance which ensured a positive outcome to the case.
