HARTFORD–It’s another sign of the quickly approaching holiday season!
Winterfest is opening in Hartford this weekend for its sixth season. The annual opening night event offers free skating and skating classes, free photos with Santa, free rides on the Bushnell Park Carousel and other special activities from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Winterfest is held at Bushnell Park, and will remain open November 22 through the end of January. The opening date was supposed to be November 20, but it was pushed due to the forecast.
The ice rink will also be accepting donations of winter clothes and skates for those in need.
