HARTFORD--A happy story illustrated the importance of National Adoption Day on Friday.

A group of four siblings were all adopted by the same family. The kids are aged 6, 7, 9 and 11, and their great aunt adopted them. The kids were in foster care for three years before this momentous day.

About 800 kids were adopted in 2014 either by relatives or new families.
