VERNON — Police said a busy section of Route 83 has reopened after being closed for much of Friday.
Route 83 was closed between Windsorville Road and Windermere Avenue until around 3 p.m. as a result of a crash that happened at 1 a.m. Friday morning. That section runs from the Ford dealer to the CVS pharmacy.
The crash left two telephone poles down. The driver fled after the crash.
Police are investigating.
