Glastonbury police on the lookout for armed Subway robber

GLASTONBURY – Glastonbury police are looking for an armed robber.

On Thursday night at around 9:45 an armed robbery occurred at the Subway Restaurant located at 2858 Main Street, according to police.

The robber ordered four cookies. When the cashier opened the cash drawer to complete the sale, the suspect pulled out a black handgun, leaned over the counter, grabbed the cash in the register and walked out of the store.

The robber was described as a light-skinned “mulatto” male with a mustache, and possibly a goatee or chin strap beard, with  short black hair, brown eyes, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans which looked to be “cuffed” at the ankle and dark-colored sneakers.

He is believed to have recently committed other robberies in the greater Hartford area and police are asking for anyone with any information to call
