NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — The last of four men charged with raping a University of Massachusetts student in her Amherst dorm room three years ago has been ruled competent to stand trial.

The trial of 20-year-old Caleb Womack is scheduled to start Monday.

Womack, of Enfield, had been scheduled for trial on Nov. 16, but a psychologist testified that Womack suffered from depression and was unable to make rational decisions.

In court Tuesday, lawyers say a forensic psychologist had examined Womack and found him competent.

Prosecutors say the suspects, all teens then, were not UMass students but knew the woman and visited her in October 2012.

The woman said she drank and smoked marijuana with them but didn’t consent to sex.

The three other defendants were convicted.

Womack denies having sex with the woman.
