COLCHESTER — Police say a 14-year-old boy was shot in the foot while riding a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle in Colchester.
Wednesday afternoon’s incident was described as a “hunting-related shooting” in a wooded area off Middletown Road.
The victim received a pellet wound to his right leg and was transported by ambulance to the Marlborough Clinic for treatment.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was investigating the incident.
DEEP Officers completed checks of the surrounding area and numerous hunters but did not locate the suspect.
