HARTFORD--There are several new members of Connecticut's Veterans Hall of Fame.

An induction ceremony was held on Monday to honor those who fought heroically for our country. The Hall of Fame, which was established in 2005, honors veterans who continue to contribute to their cities and towns.

Eleven new servicemen joined the 104 veterans who were previously inducted.

One of the awardees, Richard Fuller, has passed away, so his wife, Carolyn Fuller Norwalk, accepted the honor posthumously for her husband.

"I wish my husband was here to see it. He would have been very proud. He would have been overjoyed," she said.

Several state officials were on hand for the ceremony.
