HARTFORD--It's been almost nine years since Glen Ford, 36, of Hartford was shot to death in the southeast section of the city.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. near Colt Park, and several witnesses and people in the neighborhood called 911 to report the sounds of shots fire.

Officers who arrived on the scene found Ford lying face down with multiple gunshot wounds. He died as soon as he reached Hartford Hospital.

There were two guns used in the shooting: a 9 mm and a .45-caliber. One of those guns was also connected to a 2007 shooting.

Police say there are no indications that Ford had any connection to the area, so they are unsure why he was there at that time.

There's been a lot of help from people in the neighborhood, but officers need more help to serve this cold case as we approach the ninth anniversary this month. If you have any information, please call Hartford Police.
