This weekend is shaping up to be spectacular for outdoor plans, like holiday shopping and Christmas tree hunting.  It does not feel like the first weekend of December. Expect sunny conditions today and tomorrow, with light winds and temperatures soaring through the 50s.  You can thank (or blame) the record strong El Niño for the mild air with above average temperatures forecast to persist the rest of the month.  For now, snow lovers will need to wait patiently or simply take a road trip to Maine where snow fell earlier this week.

The upcoming week will continue to feature relatively dry and warm conditions with temperatures averaging well above normal. Highs will start out in the 50s but drop in the 40s by the middle of next week.

There is a chance for a few showers Tuesday as an offshore storm potentially grazes Connecticut.  It’s also possibly misses. But a direct hit looks unlikely.

Forecast Details:

Today: Sunny, milder. High: 48-53.

Tomorrow: Sunny, warm for early December. High: 50-56.

Monday: Sunny, mild. High: 50-54.

Tuesday: Partly to mostly cloudy, chance for a shower. (Still watching a storm offshore that will likely graze or miss CT). High: 42-47.

Wednesday: Decreasing clouds. Becoming mostly sunny. High: 45-48.
