WEST HARTFORD -- Residents celebrated the start of Hanukkah Sunday evening in Blue Back Square.
Sunday was the first of eight nights for the Jewish holiday, the Festival of Lights.
There was a giant ice sculpture of a menorah with a candle lighting, live music, a fire show and kosher foods at the big event.
It was hosted by the Chabad House of Greater Hartford.
